A pilot outreach programme will give engineering and logistics students direct insight into careers supporting nuclear medicine, research, and energy.
WiN Transport is partnering with universities to help students understand the range of careers behind the safe movement of radioactive material. Guest lectures and case-study workshops will show how engineering, data, regulation, communications, emergency planning, and logistics work together in a single transport mission.
Students will also meet professionals at different career stages and hear candid accounts of how they entered the sector. The pilot responds to a common challenge: many capable graduates never consider nuclear transport because they do not encounter it during their studies. Participating employers will offer site visits and short project placements following the initial sessions.
