A new international committee will guide WiN Transport priorities, strengthen regional participation, and connect operational experience with long-term strategy.
WiN Transport has established a Global Leadership Committee to guide its 2026 programme and make sure the initiative reflects the realities of people working across the radioactive and nuclear transport lifecycle. Members bring experience from packaging, logistics, regulation, operations, research, and professional development.
The committee will meet throughout the year to review progress, identify opportunities for collaboration, and support regional groups as they develop local activities. Its first priorities include expanding the mentoring network, improving access to technical careers, and creating practical ways for experienced professionals to share knowledge with new entrants.
The committee gives us a practical route from good ideas to coordinated action across regions and disciplines.
The inaugural award will recognise a woman whose work has made radioactive material transport safer, more effective, or more inclusive.
